Hotel Privatti

Bolhão Market

Close to Hotel Privatti, this market is one of the most authentic places in the city. It still maintains the same essence of 1914, when had opened its doors.
In this market you will find different products such as meat, fish, fruit and different flower stalls.

Mercado do Bolhão is open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Next to the market you can visit:  the Plaza de la Libertad, the Rua Santa Catarina and the São Bento station, places of great historical-artistic interest.

Lello e Irmão Bookshop

One of the most requested visits is the Lello and Irmão Bookshop, which inspires writers like J. K. Rowling in works like Harry Potter.

This bookstore of more than 100 years old is located in the Rúa das Carmelitas and stands out for its modernist and neo-Gothic decoration.

Visiting hours: every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Price: 5 euros per person, discounted if you buy an item.

Church and Tower of the Clérigos

One of the most emblematic monuments of Porto is the Clerigos Tower, located very close to our hotel.

It is a monumental baroque style monument and built in the eighteenth century.

The tower has more than 200 steps and 49 bells and from the top you will discover spectacular views of Porto.
